Old Bitmap Fonts.

I made these fonts around 1985-86, when a pixel was worth something. The earliest ones were created with Apple's basic but buggy Font Editor tool. As soon as it was available, I moved to Altsys' Fontastic. I stopped making them when it became possible to create real typefaces with the releaase of Fontastic's younger sibling, Fontographer.

Bitmap fonts have become popular again and many of these will be available in the near future as outline fonts for use in Flash and other on-screen applications.

I am no longer offering these in their original Mac bitmap format as a free download. (Sorry.)

Century 9, 12, 18, 24. Based on Century Expanded. This was an attempt to create a faithful lo-rez version of one of my favorite typefaces. This was in the days before scanners. I actually taped transparent photocopies of the typeface to my screen to get the proportions correct.
